Tested on camera

Clean you can see.

We test MOMOTO tofu litter on camera, with nothing hidden. It starts with the 42 Pee Challenge: about two weeks of simulated use in one tray, with no reset. Then see the close-ups: firm clumps, a clean tray, no dust on black gloves, and flushable urine clumps.

After pee #42: digging to the bottom of the tray.
  • 42simulated pees
  • 1.26 Ltotal liquid, 30 mL each
  • 14days of use for one cat, about 3 a day
  • 2bags of MOMOTO tofu litter, one tray
42 cups of simulated pee next to two bags of MOMOTO tofu litter

Why we did it

We wanted to show what customers were telling us.

Most litter looks fine on day one. The real test is week two: are the clumps still firm, is the bottom still clean, is the tray turning to powder?

We hadn't seen anyone else test this, so we set it up ourselves: 42 cups, measured out evenly, poured into one tray over the test, scooped as you would at home. Then we filmed it in one take, with no cuts and no reset.

The result matched what we see in everyday use at home.

The result

After two weeks of simulated use.

  • Firm clumpsClumps held together when scooped.
  • Easy to scoopClumps came out cleanly with the scoop.
  • Barely any powderVery little broken litter or mess at the bottom.
  • Clean bottomDug all the way down after pee #42.

Close-ups

Four things you can see for yourself.

Each clip comes from a single take of the same tray. We speed up or skip the waiting, never what happens to the litter.

  • 01

    Firm clumps

One pour, one scoop. The clump lifts out whole.

  • 02

    Nothing sticks

One continuous shot: scoop it out, push the litter aside, and the tray is bare.

  • 03

    Low dust

Black gloves show every speck. After digging and pouring, they stay clean.

  • 04

    Flushable urine clumps

A urine clump breaks down in water. Flush small amounts at a time and never flush solid waste.

About these tests

These are demonstrations using water as simulated pee, not real uses by a cat. The 42 Pee Challenge reproduces roughly two weeks of use for one cat in a way we could film and repeat. Your results will depend on the number of cats, box size, litter depth and how often you scoop. We recommend scooping daily and fully refreshing the box on a regular schedule.

Try it in your own box.
